12 V Trigger
« on: 21 Sep 2008, 05:08 pm »
Hi James, just a small point, I find the terminals for the 12v trigger on Bryston components somewhat awkward to connect, particularly as my components are on a shelf with limited access behind, plus, the older I get the smaller the screws seem to be : )

I would be interested in your thoughts on using a mini headphone jack for the connectors, or, something similar that can be plugged in.

Regards
Paul

The connectors on the (SST) amps come out, which makes it a bit easier but I hear what you are saying.  I had a DVD player at one point with a mini-jack trigger in and I just made a custom cable from alarm wire I had laying around.  The Bryston solution, does however make it flexible.  I had a couple of friends ask me to give them cables for their Bryston equipment and whatever I had laying around (old speaker wire, etc.) was easy enough.  I just put some solder over the edges of the wire to make it stiff and avoid stray wires.
