Once and a while (very seldom) we produce a pair of cabinets that just misses the mark. In this case, we built a pair of walnut SongTowers and found some VERY minor cosmetic issues. There was a small chip (1/4" x 1/16") in the top of the side panel veneer that we patched, but the color match wasn't perfect. In cases like this, we often just shoot black dye over the entire speaker and finish it in black lacquer. Thus, we end up with a perfect pair of satin black cabinets.
But, I got to thinking. What if someone wanted a pair of walnut SongTowers and was not concerned that there was one or two VERY minor cosmetic flaws? It seems like a shame to cover up such nice walnut.
So...if anyone is interested in this pair, which we would sell for the base price of a satin black pair ($1699). You would get a beautiful curly walnut pair and we would save the trouble of re-finishing the cabinets. This pair is available for immediate shipment.
Here are some pictures of this particular pair...

You probably can't see it, but the flaw is at the top of the side panel on the speaker on the left.
And a close-up...

Just thought I'd check before loading up the black dye.
