Ebay puts a maximum shipping charge on music
« on: 17 Sep 2008, 10:27 pm »
You know, it really toasts my buns when I see a CD on Ebay that I really want that cost $6, only to find out there's an additional $7 shipping charge.
There have been MANY CD's and DVD's I've pass on due to excessive shipping charges.

Well, looks like Ebay is listening. There's now a maximum shipping charge of $3 for a single CD (U.S. only).  :D

Books, CD's, Records, DVD's, Games, are all affected in addition to a few other items:

I've been wondering for some time when eBay was going to do something like this. They were losing a lot of market share to other websites. I normally go to 2 or more URLs when purchasing CDs simply because shipping rates vary so much & can make or break a deal when making small purchases.

I found that used CD's on Amazon were cheaper (based on Amazon's fixed shipping charges), and this was were most of my used transactions were taking place.  Having a max at Ebay will make it easier to compare seller to seller, and lower the playing field with Amazon.
