Has anyone had dealings/sales with John Casler??

Sorry if this is not the place for this post, but he told me i could ask around here for people who have bought items from him.

He's currently offering me a killer deal on a Home Theater system. Though as any consumer i get concered when large sums of money are involved in an internet transaction. So has anyone had any good/bad buying expiernces from him??

John is an excellent person to deal with.
I got a chance to meet him on a trip to LA. I would absolutely trust him on any size purchase.

Almost forgot...make sure you ask for an autographed Calender...it might cost you a few bucks, but it would be worth it.

On a sidenote(Out of leftfield i know)... Has anyone heard or know anything about the Earthquake sound 7.1 Plantine Noire's?? I'm sorry for asking this hear but noone seems to have them and these are the ones i was intrested in. Thanks for any help and sorry if this violats any forum rules.

The chief engineer at Earthquake (Joeseph) showed them to me about a year ago, right before they debued at CES or Cedia, I forget.

Anyway, I was at Earthquake picking up an amp that I had serviced and they had the PN-4521 (the main towers and the center) in their main lobby.

I asked him to fire them up, but he didn't want to, so I only got a look at them. Very fancy finish, and he was very impressed w/ the excursion of their midrange (they did travel pretty far when he was pushing on them).

Sorry, that's all I can tell you about them.

And, yes I and my brother-in-law have bought serveral items from John, and everything's always worked out great.

I send you another pm and i'm right no talking with the powers that be(Fellow people in my house). On there ideas and what they think of those speakers.

1. Buy From John.

2. if those were the speakers at Ces they were impressive with the demo they had going(Ants..I think). I remember the dialoge was very clean.

3. John is known for his "good" deals. If you think you are getting a great deal ...well...you are. He is not making a whole lot of money on every deal,but volume wins out.

What did you end up with?? Don't post what you paid just your setup.

I havn't gotten anything yet. I'm still thinking about it. A thing like this is alot of money, and the speakers themselves i can't find much in the way of reviews or personal info. Seems like noone has them! Though the fact they are a great deal, looking stunning, and seem to be built to move alot of air has me thinking they will sound great. They really look like you can crank them to ear bleeding volumes and have no distoration.
