Just watched this movie, The Fall
a God damn cinematic tour de force, literally a feast for the eyes.
Gorgeous, gorgeous film, awesome colors, landscapes and architecture, the work of an auteur for sure.
Not a Hollywood film, not even Indy, just an artist view put on film.
If you have the slightest interest in architecture you must see this movie, just for the buildings and interior shots of some very exotic buildings.

I watched most of this movie the other day.  what I don't understand is why the film maker recreated so many scenes form Baraka?  I mean you are not going to top Baraka so why not come up with your own stuff?  All I could think of was "this is a cheesy tribute/rip off (??) of Baraka.

Any thoughts?

I am glad someone has brought up this amazing film.It looks great and is a visual banquet but i think what moves the film is the little girl.As these "stories" are being told to her what you are seeing is her  infinite  imagination bringing them to life.A movie is great when it is like reading a great book,this does just that.I do not know the film "Baraka" but will watch soon!
