Textured Ceiling and Walls
« on: 12 Sep 2008, 06:07 pm »
My basement is coming together after our summer flood.
I have double drywall, green glue, staggered studs.
Drywalled ceiling, too.

My drywaller says he can put a light texture on the walls, same stuff they use to mud.
Could do the ceiling, one wall, more than one, etc.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help.

Really isn't going to make much of any difference either way.  Do what you prefer visually.

If you really like the looks then go for it.  But....watch out for cob webs.  They are a pain to get off.  :|

Looks aside: no sonic benefit?

Not really.  Certainly not anything below maybe 10kHz.  It's just too small a deviation from a flat surface to really matter.

Thanks. I'll let visual taste decide.
Room is coming together, should have some pics in a week or so...

Hey Paul, what color did you pic for paint?  Mentally that was the hardest part for me.  :icon_lol:
