Anyone been to the new House of Blues yet? If so, what's it like inside? The concert line-up sure looks ecclectic!

I saw the Disco Biscuits there a few weeks ago. Its real nice. Think the Avalon but fixed. The entrance is the same when you walk into the venue it is set up the same but wider. bars down both ends and one in the back. Also restrooms in the venue area. The second floor is standing room only also with a bar. The third floor is seats. bar tables and assigned seats. Generally its kickass.
I will be back there on the 26th to see Les Claypool. As some of you know I am a bit of a bass whore.

Les was awsome last night! The living members of Morphine came out and played "Honey White" it was real cool. Les was a friend of Mark Sandman's.

Tickets for Ben Harper and his new band - The Relentless7 go on sale today at 12:00pm. They are playing on Sunday, May 10th at the Paradise Rock Club.

Jeff Tweedy plays tonight at the Calvin Theater. I was hoping to go, but won't make it.

Don't know if you guys would be into this, but Savoy Brown with Kim Simmonds will be at the Tupelo in Londonderry, NH, in June.

Wow, Savoy Brown. Takes me back to my teenage years. I went to their show on April 17, 1970. (I had to use to google to get the exact date.)

Yes, oneinthepipe, sometimes the re-treads are still worth seeing. I probably would have passed if Simmonds weren't part of it. Shows like this break up the routine between newer bands. And this venue is very small, easy to get in and out of, and best of all a short 20 minute ride from home.
