My Insight 440 amp arrived today and tomorrow is my birthday, the timing couldn't be better. So far I have very little time listening. My first impression: this is a very polite little beast. Turning it on for the first time I noticed no clicks, thumps, growls or hums, this is one quiet amp.
The music is very clear with a nice wide sound stage, just as I expected. The amp has a balanced sound with no frequency range out of place. I have been listening to the Insight DAC, which has the same qualities, for almost a month so the 440 is a synergistic match. My Insight pre-amp should be here in a few weeks to complete the trio.
