Musical Fidelity A 3-24 DAC - SOLD!
« on: 7 Sep 2008, 08:48 pm »
I finally figured out how to put up pictures.  I am selling a Musical Fidelity A-324 Upsampling Dac in excellent condition.  Original box and manual included.  It retailed new for $1195 and the A'gon bluebook has it listed at $800.  Selling at $550 + shipping and PP.  I've owned a lot of equipment and IMO, I don't think you are going to find any digital as good as this in the $500 range.  I've owned the Bel Canto DAC2 and I think the MF is at least as good if not better.  You certainly don't want to buy some old high-end CD player with a beat, irreplaceable transport.  Read Sam Tellig's comments here - It was a recommended Class A unit, for what it's worth.

Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions.  For those of you who want to know why I'm selling - I bought this DAC to break in a $6000 player that was absolutely horrible out of the box.  Impossible to listen to.  I bought this so I would have something nice to use while the other player was breaking in.

Marc,

I would need a DAC with more inputs than the A3 offers.  I am no longer interested.

Thank you,

John

Sure John, no problem.  I've never seen a dac with more than one coaxial and one Toslink input, but perhaps some other members have.  Best of luck in your search.

Loooko into the new Bryston. It has multiple inputs and is a very, very good sounding DAC.

Enjoy,
Bob

Usually one needs to move up the food chain to find more inputs.

Someone needs to buy this DAC now it's a really good piece at a great price.
