And the warranty for these $350,000 amps is: 1 year parts & labor; 6 months on the tubes.  So if you want piece of mind, you need to buy an extended warranty.

The dawn of the $50,000 dollar power cord is around the corner.  And because these are mono blocks, you'll need two power cords.  So it seems spending less than half a million on cables for a system with these amps would be out of character.

When you think about it, it all makes perfect sense.  America needs to build the most insane, ridiculously expensive toys that only the super elite in the middle east can afford.  By appealing to their vanity with things like thermonuclear powered amps the size of the twin towers and trillion dollar power cords, maybe we can get them into debt and make America strong, proud and free again.

50 thou powercords?
That will be a HOAX!!!
No way you could make that!!!
No way!!!
Think about it... a gas turbine micro powerstation delivering 4.5KW don't even cost 50 thou... :o
Get one of those rather!!! And it better run on "ALLSPARK" for that price as well!  :thumb:

But a strong free and debt free America I'm down with... if it'll take 50 thou powercords, why not..  :icon_lol:

If you're in the market for one of these I HOPE that you've ALREADY gone to the trouble of building a room on the level of a Gateway Mastering or such.

I've had or cared for many SET amps for extended periods of time. 300Bs ,2a3s, 45s, 211s, 845s from our local build heroes to established manufacturers including Lamm's own ML2.1 which I found the most complete across the spectrum while it does get beat by the other SET amps in slices of the said spectrum.

I was not prepared for the ML3. I heard them at CES Las Vegas. I melted. It gives a master class in delicacy and micro harmonics even through the Maxx2s which I respect but never felt any connection with. Lamm played a cut from the Richter Liszt Piano Concerto No.1 (Philips) and my hair stood on end.

If I had the money to spare I would get them and a speaker that would match well with the ML3's 30wpc. Probably the Magico 6. Unfortunately I don't have the money and probably never will.

I did however get a NM/NM copy of the Richter

Hi Jack what does this mean "I did however get a NM/NM copy of the Richter"?

It meant I couldn't get the amps but was able to get a copy of the demo LP that Lamm played. It cost me about $40 including shipping and handling so I figured since music is my motivation more than the gear, I saved $139,250 in being able to have at least a part of that melting experience in my own home
