I'm not entirely sure I'm in the right place... however here is my quandary. I have set up a projector (retired from the living room) in the proposed "den." It's native resolution is 854 x 480 (16:9 ratio). I would like to be able to connect a laptop to it on occasion... however, neither laptop I have tried (both running XP, one 1024x768 native and one 1280x800 native) have been able to set this as their native resolution.

Also, since I am in the market for a new laptop anyway, I wanted to check if candidates would support this resolution. I've not been able to find this information... (I'm looking at ThinkPads).

Anyway, suggestions appreciated.. thanks

Not sure if it will work in this case but Powerstrip is a very popular program
to use to program your graphics card for "other" resolutions.
