Hi James,Is Bryston getting a new UK-specific website soon?Btw have you had the chance to audition the new MB2i/BB5i’s yet? Any comments?
Hi James, I read this on the pmc site:PMC EXPANDS BRYSTON DEALER NETWORKWith the popularity of award winning BCD1 and the comprehensive range of highly regarded amplifiers, PMC have now established a dedicated UK Bryston dealer network. Stockists have been selected for not only their geographical location but also for their commitment to customer service and professional demonstration facilities. Currently there are now authorised stockists from Fife to Dorset with a comprehensive selection of equipment permanently on demonstration allowing greater access to the renowned brand with its astounding 20 year warrantee. To increase ease of access to the Bryston brand, PMC will launch www.bryston.co.uk August.
Lol, well at least it's good news! Let us know how your auditioning of the i series goes next week.On a separate topic, is there any point in getting the BP26 with DAC option if all I'll ever use it with is the BCD1? (the BCD-1's DAC should be good enough on its own i'd guess?)
James, were you able to audition the new MB2i/BB5i? If yes, are there any materially audible improvements to the previous models?
I believe Bryston were also exhibiting the new D zone amps? How were these received? Is pricing and performance similar to for example the 875HT?
to clarify... are zone amps meant to be a one-box amp solution in a single room HT setup, or are these multi-room amps (e.g. using one zone amp to power ambient music speakers in different rooms of a house)?
interesting... i do currently have ambient speakers in all rooms of my house being run off a receiver... replacing these with inconspicous good quality mini-monitors or better in-wall speakers for a proper stereo set-up may be a nice idea... is this an integrated amp with independent volume control over the four zones, or does one need a separate 'zone-control' pre-amp to go with it?
just one more question, the phrase 'Level control on each channel' implies a volume control, right? so a single stereo pre-amp is all that's needed to run the four zones, with the 'level control' serving as the volume control for each zone?
