Radiohead - Music for Airplanes?

OK, I admit I cribbed the topic title from Brian Eno.  But I really do think that Radiohead is perhaps the perfect music for the absolutely surreal experience of looking DOWN ON CLOUDS.  Kid A, Amnesiac, In Rainbows all perfectly capture that floating beauty of modern travel.  Personally I always pull out my Iphone and Sensaphonic 2x-S at 40,000 feet and queue up Radiohead for the perfect bliss.

Couldn't agree more.  Amnesiac was one of my faves on my last flight from CLE to SF.

And I can't and I can't come down"

I tend to cue up the more ambient, textural stuff myself. Radiohead could definitely fit in there. There's a group I really like called Stars of the Lid that is absolutely perfect for the occasion. Super heavy, droney, ambient goodness. Makes flying almost pleasurable...

On a side note, I noticed that as I get older, I loathe flying more and more with every passing trip. It used to be an experience that I rather enjoyed, and it is now replaced with a hair of anxiety and the dread of standing in airports. Comes with the territory of growing older I suppose...
