Any interest in Von Schweikert speakers?

I know lots of people out there have these speakers, and there's been some discussion of them here across multiple threads, but I wonder if there is sufficient interest in a Von Schweikert circle. I'll do the poll if needed but I just want to a quick sense of others' views.

So, one week later, hundreds of views but only one PM expressing interest. I conclude therefore there is little point in running a poll.

You might want to post this in "Audio Central" circle.

But for now it might be a good idea to ask the mod to just move this to the Audio Central.

I don't think there are that many active members that own VS speakers, a handful maybe. Not enough to make a circle.

Whenever I get bored, I open up my VR2's and do something to them. So far all the modifications have been positive. Not everyone will want to void their warranty though. I bought mine new but they came without a warranty so I can be fearless. You can check out my mods here.

If the crossovers weren't so hard to get to they would be next on my list.

I've owned VS speakers for years and actually became the distributor here in the Philippines when the former distributor decided to concentrate on selling flat screens instead of high end 2 channel audio.

I'm foremost an audio enthusiast so even if AC members are outside my market area I'm very willing to share my experience in setting up and matching VS speakers. I have hands on experience with the VR-4 Gen III HSEs, VR-1s to VR-4jr Mk.2s, SR Mk.1s and 2s, VR-5 SEs , and VR-9 SEs which are currently in our show room.

I love VS designs enough to put my own money on the line. What more can I say?

Absolutely awesome setup. Where in the PI, Manila? I get there on occasion and would like to drop in.

Delacroix, I think there is interest, you just might need to work it a bit.

That's our showroom. Here's one of our installations using 4 Lamm M1.2 Reference Monoblocks and a VTL 7.5 Reference Series 2

and here's another with DB-99 SEs with Lamm ML2.1 SET monoblocks. Barely visible under the preamp and the 47 Labs combo (soon to be replaced with an Accuphase DP-78) are his other amps, a Sun Audio 2a3 and a Sun Audio modified to use 45s.
