I am selling a Doge6 CD player that HiEnd Audio rated with the AMR, Electrocompaniet, Accuphase and Reimyo players. I purchased it new from Pacific Valve in February 2008 and I am only selling to finance a vey high-end universal player, as I have a lot of SACDs I want to play.
It sells for $1400 + shipping and I have replaced the Chinese tubes with new Mullards, which cost an extra $100. These are not NOS tubes, just the new issue. The player uses the CS4398 dac and the sound is phenomenal. Smooth, detailed and harmonically rich. I have owned a $10K player and I can honestly say, I really can't hear what the Doge6 gives up.
