Yup, More Vinyl Comeback Story...
« on: 20 Aug 2008, 01:09 am »
Hey!

I was watching the "CBS Evening News" tonight and saw this story...

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/08/19/eveningnews/main4364986.shtml

It was fun to watch. It started out with the 16 years old David going through his LPs and play it on his Technics TT of what look like Ortofon cart. :D

You guy should have seen the video of this story. They even have Shelby Lynne and she is very proud of her new album and the first of hers to be on vinyl. :D  Sadly, I don't see that have video of this story up on the site.... maybe not yet or maybe not at all. :?

BTW... don't forget to read those feed back from viewers. Interesting take on this from different views. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

It’s funny they always say Vinyl is making a coming back, for me and many of my friends Vinyl never went away. It just went underground to the real music / analogue lovers and DJ’s.

It’s good to see the young people now discovering the joys of owning Vinyl. 8)

Hey!

Yeah, now I think his friends at school will think that having turntable is pretty cool now

I read the post and look like plan to put up the video on the net soon.

Sadly he also mentioned that cut out the part where he talk about the analog vinyl sound better than CD  Oh! Well, still better than nothing. :D

Take care,

Hey!

Look like he just put up the video on youtube.com....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5263RJCKTg

Ironically I read some of newer posts and some of the members there found that the stores with used vinyls like Goodwill and other thrift shops jacked up price of used vinyls after the show was aired

But this is nothing new since I noticed the price of used LPs at local weekend flea markets here in NYC when up a bit over the past couple of years. Maybe up a bit more now after this show aired  :icon_lol:

Frank has a 240 EX on his used equipment list. 125 watts per channel could kick a little ass.

I picked up a 90's era Fet Valve 500 last year and my ass has never been the same!
