  • Dutch and Dutch 8C's…yes they are that good!
Looks like Mr. Potis really liked them:

Here is how he sums things up:

Quote
It's extremely difficult to divide up a budget of $6500 (or less—way less) between a single pair of speakers and even a stereo amplifier and find another package that'll combine to outstrip this system under review in most of the criteria that I find important; full extension at the frequency extremes, transparency and immediacy, and dynamic articulation. In fact, I can't think of anything that comes close. So yes, if full-frequency extension, transparency, real-world dynamics and, most of all, truth are what you are looking for in a speaker system, then yeah, you owe it to yourself to hear these giant killers.

John Potis

Being a very happy CS2 owner, I can say that this review pretty much nailed it!

  • I think I won!
I've been trying to describe my CS-2's to friends and other audiophools, and now I can just refer them to JP's review.  He did indeed, "nail it."   :thumb:

Curious he doesn't compare it to any speaker he has or has reviewed.  would have been a much better review if he had.

Yeah..he did a credible job..Keith, your right ..besides a quick mention of the Wilsons, a comparison or two would have been useful. I'm happy as can be with mine!

I got another ear full of these speakers at a buddy's home over the weekend. We swapped out one of his brute SS amplifiers  on the compression drivers with my 14 wpc KR audio Antares using 300 BXLS tubes. A Classe 300 did the bass drivers. What a sweet sounding combo! :thumb:
