With possible sanctions and restriction of import of Russian goods pending should we finally pull the trigger on those quads of of GL KT88s and other Russian tubes? They might be able to be had the long way around through Asia but the price is likely to soar ala Ei pre conflict tubes. Any thoughts on this? Why do we have to have disagreements with countries that affect of tube supplies? Seems NATO and the USA would be more sensitive to audiophiles "interests" abroad.

Talk of sanctions and restrictions on Russian goods are likely just that, talk.

Russia is a leading exporter of oil, and one of the US's largest partners for it (given that Iran isn't gonna' be a source anytime soon likely we need 'em).  Neither party wants to see higher gas prices at the pump...so no one is likely to do anything except rattle sabres a bit - much like China does with Taiwan from time to time (as Taiwan has substantial investment in China..particularly in the Fuzhou area and Fijian province).

Buy your Sovvies, EH's and re-issue Tungsol's in the normal qty's you'd buy them in I'd think
