First off.... Hello all, from an often-time lurker, first time poster. I've wanted to buy a Bryston amp of some sort for years now, and finally did

. I bought a used 3B ST a couple of days ago and can't wait to hook it up. This is my first experience with separates, as well as Bryston (outside of the Pro world). This amp will free up a significant amount of power from my little Rotel receiver and pave the way to one day own a dedicated pre/pro (SP3 perhaps?

)
In the meantime though, while I sit here at work, there's something I've been wondering about... unfortunately the amp did not come with its final checkout sheet from Bryston so I'll probably never know exactly how it rates, but I was wondering; what did 3B STs owned by others check out at when they left the factory? The date code on the amp is 502 (Which from what I understand means the second week of 1995.... please correct me if I'm wrong) so it's from earlier in the STs product cycle.
Also, I was unable to find specs for the 3B STs power consumption at idle. Does anyone happen to know what this figure might be? Bryston says the 3B SST consumes 127W at idle...I'm assuming the ST is slightly less, so does that mean that leaving the 3B on all the time is roughly the same as leaving on a 100W light bulb all the time?
Many thanks in advance! Regards,
Matt
