I am in the process of trying to purchase a sub for my system. I am going to run it from my integrated amp speaker outputs to the binding posts on the sub. Is this called high level? Anyways I am looking for some suggestions for a good set of speaker cable to run the sub. By good I mean budget  but quality. I am running bare wire now so I will probably buy some bare speaker wire without termination. thanks in advance

Hi jrokke

I am using Canare LV-77S cables for my ACI Force XL Subwoofer. You will see from the url link below that Blue Jeans Cables also recommends the LV-77S. I can't say I have spent much time comparing between other Sub cables but the Canare seems to be doing a great job!

Others might chime with alternative recommendations but I think the cables I suggested would be a good starting point (and ending point for me! )

I recommend going to Lowe's and buying a 40 ft Utilitec 14 AWG extension cord. Take it home, cut to length needed, terminate as desired, hook up and never look back. Cost of the Utilitec cord at my local Lowe's was $8.44 recently.

Any solid core wire that is 10 or 12 guage will work fine for the subs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Been using the new silver coated copper SUB 3's from Audioquest and have been
very impressed.  I have always thought that spending a little extra dough on
subwoofer cables was a waste of money, but these have been worth every
penny.

I think a 20 foot pair is about 800 bucks, but if you don't need that long of
a run it's not as expensive.  Definitely got some tighter, faster bass.

Id suggest trying em from a place like music direct that will let you return
if you don't like them.

I went in to this very skeptically, but was very excited about the change
in my system....
