OK, I bought these for a second system due to primarily to their very small size and in that context they are acceptable for a $60 pair of speakers.  Just for fun I tried them on my gaincard/msb gold set up in place of sehring 602's, a very revealing system revealed every fault.  Not a fair comparison at any level but revealing none the less.

Any suggestions on upgrading these speakers (cabinets) ? The boxes are aluminum rear ported, specs and link below.

Thanks!

Radio Shack 2-Way Die-Cast Mini-Speaker Upgrades Possible ?

Back when the Minimus 7 was popular, there were modifications/tweaks circulating on the grapevine: some of them made the transition to the internet. You might search by "Minimus 7"?  It too had a 4" woofer, but was sealed.

Addendum: I believe it was AudioXpress that offered some tweak ideas for the minimus. Unfortunately, that material is scattered through a number of issues (which would cost more to buy than the speakers cost).
Maybe some of that info has circulated on the various forums.
