Burmester Audiosysteme of Berlin, Germany, introduced new products at the Munich HiFi Show in honor of the company's 30th anniversary, and US MAP (minimum advertised price) prices are now released. Performance, flexibility and availability date details are still to be forthcoming.
A new reference line preamplifier, the 077, joins the venerable 808 in the Burmester reference series lineup. The 808, first prototyped in 1980, August (hence the "80""8"), and perhaps the most venerable of all audio electronic products (excluding speakers), is scheduled for a Mk6 incarnation, so the 077 is not a replacement for it. US MAP of the 077 will be $39995-$54995 depending on power supply and other options.
A new classic line integrated amp, the 082, joins the 032 in that series. The 082 is descended from the 035 preamplifier and the 036 power amplifier. US MAP of the 082 will be $17995.
A new tower loudspeaker, the B30 will join the B series lineup that includes the B100, B80, B50 and B25. Standard finishes include elsberry, macassar, and silver/laminate. US MAP of the B30 will be $15995/pair. Burmester dealers may be found at
