It cost me 4 years of Marriott points but it's technically "free" and arrived today!  46" of fun just in time for the NFL season..Bearz!!!!  

Waiting for a friend to help me put it on the wall bracket that is currently occupied by my Panny Plasma.  The Panny is great and will soon move to the upstairs "Sun Room".  I love the Panasonic but needed a bigger set for the family room, plus the Sony has non-reflective screen. So far...so good.

Keep spending $$$ until you get there!  Just kidding.  My wife and I decided not to go on vacation this year and to spend the points on something we need for the house.  The larger models were almost double the points and I only had 400K points.  This was the best one I could have gotten.  It's kind've a ripoff because i had enough points to stay at the JW Marriott or the Ritz in Maui for 4 weeks...for the same amount of points.  I'll think about that during the Bears game tonight!

Those reward programs are in serious danger, spend em if you got em! I f you dont beleive me first it will be the Airlines to stop the fuel cost bleeding, Once one does it others will use it as an excuse to follow.

yeah we 'downgraded' our amex so we no longer get points but a cash rebate...still in times like this getting an extra thousand dollars a year in rebate is much more useful than a treat...though don't get me wrong i enjoy my treats ....

I need to get on this program.  Do you know how much you have to spend to get a thousand bucks?  I use my amex for company expenses only but my expenses over the year are pretty large.  I need to get on the Amex program.
