James Hervey - choclaty goodness

Wow, this guy's photos don't have nearly enough views, and they deserve more!  Jaw-droppingly beautiful stuff.  Stunning locations, gorgeous tones… One photo will blow you away, and then you learn there's like six more just as good coming down the stream.  Concentrated hero shots!  (the landscapes especially)  Yikes!  :notworthy:

Yes, those are amazing images. I'd certainly like to have a very large print of one of those landscapes with their incredible depth of field and sharpness. Also it's not just technical wizardly here but he captures a sense of awe and visceral emotion.

Hmm....I wonder what camera(s) he uses?

The camera info is on Flickr.  A Nikon SuperCoolscan 9000.  (image quality aside, that's a really silly name for a camera now isn't it?  Might as well throw a "duper" in there while they're at it.)

That's a film scanner - I wonder if it's MF or LF.

Doh!  That's right.  Weird that it made that into the file info.  If it is film the dude does a helluva lotta scanning!  Probably medium 6x6 I'd assume.
