At least this is what I think I need -- want to connect my Denon 2900 to my 28" Toshiba LCD TV.  According to the manual for the TV I need a DVI to HDMI cable to do this.  This is no hi-res system, so I don't care about extreme cables, just something to get the job done.

So, if you have one of these and want to trade for a DH Labs 2 meter HDMI cable in perfect  condition, drop me an email or PM.  Note, 1 meter is also fine.

Thanks,

Jim

Extreme?
It's digital. It either works or it doesn't.
Don't be swindled by shake-oil salesmen.

Go to www.monoprice.com or www.bluejeanscable.com and buy yourself an HDMI to DVI adapter (it's only about 2" long).
This way you still have an HDMI cable you can use in the future.

Thanks, and I may just do that.  By extreme, I mean the greater than 1000 pixels hi-def TVs and the new 1.3 HDMI spec that supports this and simultaneous multi-channel audio.

If it's digital, higher res means higher throughput requirements, and thus more critically designed transmission lines.

Come on man, even the cheapest $4 monoprice HDMI cable is designed to pass 1080p over long distances.
After 50ft or so you'll probably want to go fiber.
Buy with confidence.
I've bought from both websites and they're both excellent.

Ok, I don't really know -- video is not my thing at all, but I was an EE once upon a time.

So, I just ordered the HDMI-DVI adaptor from blue jean cables -- $12 -- works for me.

Cool.

Actually, I succumbed to curiosity and bought a pair of speaker cables while I was at it :D.
