I have a pair of Lipinski's and they are not a "internet speaker company" they have many dealers, mostly whom have a internet presence them selfs.  I got a chance to audition a pair at a local hifi chain which is how I ended up buying them.  I went to the dealer to hear another pair of speakers but decided to go with the Lipinski's.

I would say there are excellent bargains out there. Though internet companies allow you to try before you buy, Id say that is a royal pain in the a**.

My preference would be to be able to hear them locally via a rave or someone who is kind enough to let you come over and check them out, or read sufficient amounts of reviews, take the average and just jump in, if they are not really expensive.

Through reviews I have bought the Candela (excellent tube preamp), my Merlin VSM MXs (dopey awesome), and my Nuforce amps (killer x2) Ive done pretty well this way.

Warning!  I've got to throw in a shameless plug for my own internet based loudspeaker company that started out way back in 1973, decades before the 'net was even invented.  The internet offers small companies with either a low advertising budget (or as in my case, no budget!) the opportunity to get exposure to compete against the big boys with mega $$ for marketing their products.

I have auditioned them twice, they are an amazing speaker! Do you have the L-505's? or the 707's?

I am not sure why the OP will not take Lipinski out of his post since multiple people have stated these are not an ID speaker  :? :?
