All this stuff is headed to Audiogon for individual sale. First, I thought I'd see if anyone here was interested in a great package deal. Catch? You have to take the system and pick it up in Baltimore. If no one is interested, then off to Audiogon it goes. Frankly, I hate shipping stuff and I hate dealing with people on Audiogon so it's worth it to me to move this cheap and save me the hassle of Audiogon Hell. OK, the system offered is as follows:
Preamp: Anthem Pre 1L. Preamp is in very good shape. Face, top and sides are excellent. There are some pretty good scratches on the BOTTOM of the preamp. The feet are missing. I have four nice anti-vibration cones that I've used with the preamp since I've had it. They work great and look great. These will be included. Tube set in preamp are strong and a new quad of JJ/Tesla's will also be included.
Amp: AES [Cary] AE-25 Super Amp. Excellent condition, factory built. Wired for 15wpc triode. Upgraded oil caps. Includes very low use quad of cryo'ed KT90 Electro-Harmonix tubes. Also includes very low use quad of Electro-Harmonix EL34's. Personally, I prefer the EL34's in this amp. Very, very sweet sounding amp!
CD player: Marantz CD5001. Very nice sounding, excellent condition. The Marantz also have a very good headphone amp built in.
Phone stage: Jolida JD9. A couple scratches here and there but nothing major. Groove Tube "Mullard" tubes installed. Works perfectly, sounds fantastic.
Tuner: Denon TU767. Simply one of the best tuners Denon ever made. Very good condition, sounds fantastic, picks up everything.
Speakers: KEF iQ9. Just a few months old. Excellent condition. Finished in black. Very sweet full range floorstander that just sings with the Super Amp.
All componets [except the Jolida] are finished in black. This system works very well together and can really connect you to the music. To save me from the hell Audiogon has become, I will sell this entire system to anyone willing to pick it up for $2100 cash. I'll leave it here for a few days and if no one is interested, then off it goes to Audiogon for individual sale.
