For the price these things go for used I would rather just buy a new pair.  I love those little speakers...a total steal if you ask me (even though they went up 80 bucks recently).

That's a great speaker. I had a pair in Gallardo Yellow, thought it might be cool but they actually hurt my eyes to look at them. WOW....and of course, they wife hated them.

Fourth Quarter 2008 Usher will introduce a bass module for the S-520.

Stan Tracht from Usher sent me the following on 9/30/08.

The SW-520 bass module prototypes arrived last Friday.  We're excited because they take the S-520s to a whole new level by adding fantastic bass response to the S-520's already extraordinary mids and highs.  The bass module connects directly to the amplifier and passes through only mids and highs to the 520s. This arrangement greatly enhances the S-520's power handling capacity.  Soundstage is much larger and low end frequency response is pushed down to the 30's.  Price to be determined.  Available late fourth quarter 2008.

It's not my intent to hijack this thread, but since the topic is the S-520 I thought y'all might like to know what's coming.

Also, Usher is creating bass modules for the BE-718, I heard.  Can't wait to hear them.  It sure is a great idea (I know, it's not THEIR idea...).
