I had seen that a while ago. Would love to see Tom  but this tour won't be coming any where near me  I love the early stuff, Heart of Saturday Night , Blue Valentine The newer stuff is good but you have to work on it a while as his voice is so far gone.

When you're in the right mood, there's no substitute for Tom Waits!

He is the real thing.

Absolutely!!  I saw him in Dallas about a month ago.  Also saw him about 20 years ago.  Aside from being one of the most original and entertaining performers around, he is a terrific songwriter.  Probably the two best live shows I've ever seen were the two times I saw Tom Waits.  Listening to him now BTW....(Blood Money)

Quoted from Epitath.com
"Named as one of VH-1 s Most Influential Artists of All Time, it is no surprise that Waits  body of work has long been covered (and coveted) by other musicians. Notable cover versions include Bruce Springsteen ( Jersey Girl ); Rod Stewart and Everything But The Girl ( Downtown Train ); Johnny Cash ( Down There By the Train ); Marianne Faithfull ( Strange Weather ); The Ramones ( I Don t Wanna Grow Up ); 10,000 Maniacs ( I Hope I Don t Fall In Love With You ); Tim Buckley ( Martha ); T-Bone Burnett ( Time ); Bob Seger ( Blind Love ); Lucinda Williams ( Hang Down Your Head ); Los Lobos ( Jockey Full of Bourbon ); Elvis Costello ( More Than Rain ) Diana Krall (Temptation), Bette Midler (Shiver Me Timbers) and The Blind Boys of Alabama ( Jesus Gonna Be Here ) as well as  Wicked Grin , the critically acclaimed collection of Waits  songs recorded by John Hammond."   Also, the audiophile approved singer Holly Cole has an entire album of Tom Waits songs.

From his web site....concerning his tour and tickets....anti-scalper plans.. :o

The European tour will also be subject to new anti-scalper plans, thus attempting to ensure that every fan will pay only face value (plus normal service and handling fees) for the tickets. They will be limited to two per person with the purchaser’s name – and name of their plus one – printed on the ticket. Ticket-holders will need photo ID corresponding to the names on the tickets to gain access to the venues.
