Ok I dont know how to describe it but when I placed the new Neo Ribbons that replaced the stock 53' BG ribbon on my FF3SRE the ribbons bark or shout more sorta like a horn and I wonder why? I run mine in open baffle and most other speakers they are in are a more sealed design so is that the problem (the back wave)?
The are 4 ft from back wall and a couple from sides, room is 14X24 and I have the corners treated with Michael Green traps, the Neo's sound "faster' and I do like that but again they just dont sound right, I have had a unexpected situation keeping from listening and 2 of the panels out of the 12 need replaced so they are going back to Brian for that and some cosmetic shortcomings but does anyone have an idea why with 150hrs on these they still sound ok but in some aspects a step forward in sound and in some ways a step backwards?
Any help would be great and thanks for any ideas............one other issue is my outboard crossover needs modified as it is missing 90 cycles and Brian is taking care of that for me aswell which I assume will warm things up as of now its missing the 190-280hz information.
Aragon power amps, Sonic Frontiers Pre, AQ cables, SOTA table and Lexicon disc. Thanks

The problem is that the passive crossover to the mid panels in your old FF3's lacks the proper series inductor to tame the 1 to 3kHz peak in the Neo panels.

When you return the panels we will make you up a new passive network containing this part, and you can connect directly to the new crossover rather than go through the old one.  The new xover will be housed in a separate small enclosure with its own input and outputs.

Adjusting the electronic crossover to the bass will also help.

OK thanks Brian, I left you a message about sending in speakers but didnt want to leave a super long message, with the gains I hear and the tweaks you are going to provide I am sure I will be happy when all is said and done..........thanks for the reply.
