On my main left RM40, I'm getting a severe cabinet "rattle" on bass notes. I have not removed the driver to see if it is something vibrating inside the speaker cabinet, or the cabinet itself.

It may not be the same thing but I had the same problem with my RM1's a while back. Turned out to just be a wire vibrating against something in the cabinet. Took 10 minutes to shift it (just because I spent some time poking around inside to see what it was like).

Since I imagine this new venture would benefit from some *free* ( :) ) market research, let me chime in also for my admiration of the birds eye maple finish! I like my wood blonde... :)

I like my woman blonde and my wood dark

I don't think we really had to know how you like your "wood" :jester:

Some RM40's in a high quality gloss-black or rosewood finish should look sweet for 2-channel though :D

On the lines of speaker grills.  How about the magnet dohickys.  Grills are a must for houses with kids, pets or stupid inlaws.

Yes, the magnetic grills on the new Dynaudio line are very nice.

I 3rd the magnetic grills request.  I think this adds the final touch in nice looks!

I believe Mark mentioning magnetic fasteners. I would like them too.
