FS: music Reference RM-9 amplifier

I will be running an ad in Audiogon probably starting this weekend for my much loved Music Reference RM-9 amp.  :(  I'm selling only because I've switched to biamping my VMPS speakers and the RM-9's 100+ wpc is overkill for my needs. I've just bought an RM-10II for that purpose, so the RM-9 needs a good home.

The RM-9 is the original version, not type II or SE, but I think it's a great amp just the same. It has some scratches and I had to replace the power plug, but the tubes are good and this baby sounds great. Probably a solid 6/10. Some slight buzz close to the speaker, but it's not audible when music is playing. I shorted the inputs at Roger Modjeski's advice and there was no hum, so the problem may be elsewhere in my system.

Please pass the word if you know anyone who's interested in a classic high power tube amp. I've compared it head to head against the Odyssey Stratos, Adcom GFA-5802, and TAD Hibachis and it's much superior to all of them.  And the price will be reasonable - not $2450 like the markII that's on Audiogon now!  :D
