Hello everyone. When it comes to this kind of 'stuff' I have no idea what I'm talking about.....so take it easy on me.

I received in a business transaction several high end audio components that I would like to sell, my house can not support such a system that sound this awesome.

There are 5, yes 5 Meadowlark Blue Heron speakers that were built with TARA Labs cable inside, along with and EAD (Enlightened Audio Design) AMP and DVD/CD player. I don't remember the model numbers of the EAD items but can look later if anyone is interested. All these components were connected by very high quality TARA Labs cables.

I guess what I'm looking for is if somebody could tell  me what he things are worth, I would sell at a greatly reduced price just to relive myself of them. I would prefer local pick up (97504) or could ship.

I can get photos of all the items if anyone is interested.

Thanks, Greg

I'm thinking I would let all this go for around $7000 or best offer. I will also toss in a SONY 42" plasma that came with the system in the deal. From what I'm learning at the time (a few years ago) to purchase these components would be in the mid 5 figure range .

Thanks to all for looking, Greg  :thumb:

Would you consider selling a pair of the Blue Herons separately?   aa

What's the finish?

Cheers,
Robin

Good morning, I will consider selling the items separately. I will post photos of everything this evening or tomorrow when I have a chance to take the pix. Like I had said originally, I'm not an Audiophile so I really don't know what a fair price would be for the items. ALL reasonable offers would be considered.

Again, thanks all for looking and responding, Greg  8)

Wish I lived on the West Coast!

Wouldn't mind copping a pair of those Blue Herons!

Hey guys and gals, just an update. I looked closer at the speakers and it seems one pair is Blue Heron and the other pair is Heron. I really can't see a diffrence between the two other than the Heron's are a little bigger and have two extra connectors in the back' there are 6 where the Blue Heron's have 4. The center speaker is also a Blue Heron.

The EAD components are: DVD/CD is a model '8000pro 8 channel' with a silver face and the amp is an EAD '5300 5 channel' with a black face.

The cabels are 'TARA Labs cables, RSC PRIME 1000, they are custom length originally made for my house (I am friends with the owner of TARA Labsand he made them for me).

I will post photos of all the things tonight or tommorow morning.

Thanks again, Greg

That sounds like the Heron "i".  I own them.  The connections are bi-wire and there are so many of them because the speaker is adjustable for room size.  It is done by connecting the speaker cable to the appropriate binding post:  either S, M or L

Re: the size - since the Blue Heron was the top of the Meadowlark line, I'd be very surprised if it were smaller than the more junior Heron "i".   Same size?  Maybe.  But smaller?  I dunno.

I'd be interested in a pair, so let me know if you're splitting them up.

I'm just interested in the veneer finish,,,, Meadowlark was wellknown for their cabinet finishes and their loss in the industry was sad indeed. I look forward to seeing these 2 loudspeaker designs.  :thumb:

This is also 1 killer home theater/music system. It would be ashame to break it up.

Any ideas what that finish is?  The color is like cherry but there's too much contrast between the grain.

Wait a minute........

Just went to a web archive site and found it.  It's classic mahogany.

So, ahem, what are your prices for individual pairs of the speakers?

Hi guys,
I will be listing these speakers for Greg this weekend on Audiogon. Shipping will be possible on a pallet via Yellow Freight, but not cheap. PM me with offers for pairs or the group. Preference will be given to those willing to purchase the 3 Blue Herons together.
