Bryston universal remote

 james,

did you guys thought about a programmable remote? now that there are the bcd1, bda1 and soon the sp3 it might make sense to
have a 'all in one' Bryston remote?!
furthermore it would be a nice gimmick for us...

My understanding is that a Byston remote (say BCD-1) is programable to enable the remote to operate other Bryston equipment (pre, power, processors). There is also the trigger-in function which allows you to control respective Bryston gear. This is my limited understanding but I am sure James will chime (as he always does) with more info ....

yes, the bcd1 rem is able to control other Bryston equipment but the rem of the bda1 cannot do the same...( as far as i know).

i thought of a controller that is a bit more versatile. for example that it can choose between several inputs on the

bda1 and/or the sp3- just to name a few functions.

Per Bryston's site the CD remote can:

"CD remote operates other Bryston products volume up/down/mute"

Hi Alex,

We are working on a Universal remote for the BDA-1 that will be able to be used with all our gear except the SP3 - which is a bit to specialized.

I have a PDF of the layout if anyone wants.
