Ps ultimate outlet
« on: 2 Jul 2008, 06:15 pm »
I am new to this so I will just ask. I recently bought a ps ultimate outlet, listening to my system it seems to take away to mush from the high frequency grain. My system consists of a Anthem 600w amp, Anthem preamp 3.6R Magnepan speakers. Has anyone experienced this eather with Magnepan or other speakers.

Any information and input would be great.

Thank you.

Gino, I used a couple of PS Audio HC UO's for quite some time in my sytem (I was using ribbon speakers too). The biggest effect of the UO's was that they cleared up some hash in the top end but left it open and airy and more real.

Do not put your amp on the UO, especially a big power amp. Even on the HC UO's (High Current versions) I only put my front end components on them.

DSK, Thank you for this information. I have a 20 amp designated circute for my system and I will leave the amp off of the HC UO.

Thank you again.
