Ok...well here it goes...
Take the cover off the receiver
Carefully take the entire power supply board out of the unit (multuiple screws hold it down and in)
Desolder the stock power connector from the power supply board
Cut a perfect rectangle hole for a IEC connector with a dremel tool in the general area where the stock connector is at
Mount IEC, using stock screw hole for right side of connector and using a 4-40 1/2" bolt/nut for the left side (drilling is required)
Cut a small section off the pcb of the power supply board off so the IEC will fit because of the intrusion of the IEC into the stock pcb board, there is a peice of PCB that is unused..
Use a vacuum to clean up any metal debris inside the unit
Prep new AC wiring into Power Supply Board
Reseat and bolt down power supply board, carefully making sure all electrical connections are snug
Tin IEC connector with some silver solder and solder the AC wires to newly installed IEC connector
And now you can use any power cord you want.
