How about "Chi" flows of energy, after all, the mosfet and the Panasonic caps that Frank uses are manufactured in the Asian Realm, not in the old Latin area.

Try to beat this with your Latin whatever....

How about something Italian: The Scatola Model Line, short for The Scatola Nera Model Line. Scatola meaning Box and Nera meaning Black. Either would be Bravissimo or Ultimo! Which brings us to: The Ultimo Scatola Model Line.

Will there be a "EC" equivalent in the line, and will you still have the "mode" switch that allows the L channel to be sent to both speakers, as well as the R channel to both speakers?

PS Could you, or someone else here expalin why you don't offer balanced (XLR) outputs on your products (even as a option)??????

Thanks all of you so much for the thousands of views of this topic, and the hundreds of names suggested.

We have picked a winner from your suggestions:

Insight.

The new solid state products now shipping will be the Insight SL Preamp, the Insight EC preamp, the Insight DAC, the Insight 240, 260, 440, and 440H amplifiers, and the Insight Control Amplifier.

We received three recommendations for Insight. None of the three followed all the rules.

The first recommendation came from gjs_cds on June 24th. It was part of a scattershoot group, and without a reason for the name. Shame on him! However, this entry wins a choice of either an Insight DAC or basic Insight SL preamplifier. Congratulations on your win and thank you for the winning suggestion.

The second recommendation came only a few hours later from pardales. It was a single recommendation, but again without a reason.

The third recommendation of Insight came by letter postmarked a couple of days later from Robert London. He had a good reason for the name "I particularly like this one because I can always hear so much more of the music from your electronics." But it was one of a large "scattershot" group of names.

So, because nobody suggesting the name followed all the rules, I have decided to award 2nd and 3rd place awards of a 20% discount on any single new AVA product or upgrade to the last two people.
