Van Alstine Crescendo Series

My reason?

This series will reflect and be the result of decades of accumulative experience,  knowledge,  expertise and research;  in the art of improving and perfecting audio components.

It started as a small wave.  Then continued to gather momentum in it's rise to musical perfection.

A crescendo in terms of musicality and accumulated knowledge.

If Ultimate is being kept as an option:  Ultimate SS
-play off on the Super Sport SS theme while representing Solid State.  All done up in a nice black box with silver badging.

AVA Statement Series  -- Sounds like this is what you are making.

I was going to say the same thing...but I think the "Omega" name should still be in there, as it would be the premier model of the Omega line that had started years ago...something like "OmegaStatement" has a nice ring, I think.

call it "The Wayner"

Seriously though when I create a new piece of art, say a painting, the title is a very important part to me. Its a culmination of all the creative effort I put into that piece. I like to sit back and look at it and let it come to me.

Theres no way I'd let someone else put their stamp on it. Its my creation,,,my baby,,,my name.

but hey thats just me and,,, you have marketing to think of. How did you arrive at the names for your other products?

Also...is this the Differential gear, or is it complementary? Any potential spillover into the tubed stuff?

Audio by Van Alstine "EUPHORIA"  or  "EUPHORIC" SERIES

Everybody knows and wants to experience Euphoria
Free yourself from yourself

eu·pho·ri·a   Audio Help

Euphoria is a medically recognized emotional state related to pleasure and happiness. Technically, euphoria is an affect,[1] but colloquially the term is often used as a standard term of emotion to mean intense, transcendent happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of well being. The word derives from Greek εὐφορία, "power of enduring easily, fertility"[2][3].

Euphoria is considered to be an exaggerated state, resulting from psychological or pharmacological stressors and not typically achieved during the normal course of human experience, although some natural behaviors, such as those resulting in orgasm, can consistently produce a brief state of euphoria.[1]

A common theme among a subset of drugs used recreationally is their ability to induce a state of euphoria.[4] The classification of episodic mania by Emil Kraepelin recognized the degree of euphoric affect among the classifier axes. Drugs such as opiates, amphetamines, cocaine, MDMA, and so on can induce chemically intense euphoria. [5]

In an earlier post "Alpha" was suggested. I like that, except for the connotation of going backwards from Omega.

Instead I propose Aleph-Naught. (The symbol is the Hebrew letter aleph with a zero subscript.) It represents, in mathematics, the first level of infinity. It also allows for up-grades: Aleph-One (same thing, but with the subscript 1) is the next level. In math, aleph-1 is a higher level of infinity than aleph-naught. The series never ends, so you'll never want for a symbol no matter how many improved versions you make.

(For those interested in math: Aleph-Naught refers to a countable infinity, while aleph-one refers to an uncountable infinity. Mathematicians don't worry about the possibility of someone who is willing and able to count things for an infinite time.)

The only place its going backwards to is the source of it all, the music.  8)  Alphastar though is really my submission, as it flows with the Omegastar line and also has that astrology connection, ie the brightest star.

Well, I tend to prefer simple names.  And I'm assuming you'll retain some sort of numbering or lettering convention to differentiate EC/SL preamps, and amp output, etc.  And I'm also assuming that the Ultra line will remain top of the Van Alstine house, so you might not actually want a name that sounds like your new SS line is better than your hybrids.  So my humble suggestion is...

Excel

(I would normally like Alpha, but for the apocalyptical connotations of having an alpha and omega product line.)

If you want something sexier, then I'd go with "Grand Fabulon Magnifico".
