I haven't heard much about Mapleshade music lately. Tonight I heard some cuts on the Rives Audio test CD, and it reminded me how well they record acoustic instruments.

I'm about to buy the following:

Midnight Blue - 09352
Chris Anderson - 56922
Frank Foster - 09532
Andy McKee - 04432
Larry Willis - 09932
Monica Worth - 06732

It's been almost a year since I purchased any.  I have about 15 discs so far.  Truly excellent recordings.

Mapleshade recording are excellent sonically, who needs SACD when you've got Mapleshade? I wish they could could sign up more mainstream artist though.

mapleshade goes sacd.  he wont go analog vinyl, but his recordings are analog.  sacd would be the natural digital progression for pierre.  believe it or not, the sacd would  be a bit better than the rbcd, as good as his RBCDs are.
