What music makes you temporarily or permanently (heh) insane when you listen? Or suddenly veils the world in dark, insidious, and sinister madness.   You must like it of course.

Ill put up a recent one, the Venetian Snares..Detrimentalist is the name of the album. Kind of like techno on speed, that was secretly slipped speed in its drink. Great for running. (away from the cops) More of insanity by speed than a mood or painted landscape.

Godspeed You Black Emperor,  "F#A#∞"   ... fantastically dark, plays like a movie.

For more-technoey stuff, I'd vote for anything by Mum.  I brought "Yesterday was dramatic, today is OK" to a McIntosh dealer once.  They looked at me funny

Venetian Snares and Aphex Twin can definitely have that effect.  Most of the Warp record label is like that. 

From the drum n bass end of things, I'll add Ed Rush & Optical along w/ Concord Dawn.  There's a lot of very dark and sinister drum n bass out there, but one of the requirements is that I like the music, so I'll leave it with these two.
