I'm still stunned in disbelief!!!

I put two Herbies Ultrasonic 9 Tube dampers on the 6DJ8 in my Dodd battery preamp. Within 5 seconds I was in complete ultra-shock! The noise floor disappear! I hear the purest sound from top to bottom, the bass gets cleaner, the midrange/vocal stood out, allowing me to hear more into the texture. The experience is simply intoxicating!

I'm still in shock .. I am beginning to suspect that it's due to my ears somehow just get more potent today.

Herbie's dampers are amazing, easily one of the very best cheap tweaks.  What 6DJ8 are you using?

I also agree, I have been using them a long time.
Just recently changed to the "Ultrasonic" models.

I used the stocked tubes supplied by Gary, I think it's JJ Tesla
