Densen versus GK-1 and AKSA 55

I had a luncheon for 4 hi fi friends yesterday.
Bart bought over his newly acquired Densen Beat 100.
Review at
http://www.densen.dk/Reviews/b-100/Tests/AV%20file%2002.htm
Plugged it in. Sounded polite. Left it for a few hours. A very nice amp. Still a little polite.
We then went back to the GK-1 and AKSA 55.
We all preferred the AKSA gear, much more lively and involving.
It is interesting that Sterophile has/had it in its recommended list.

The Densen gear always seems to get mentioned as being musical, rythmic and exciting, so if this is the case then full credit to Aksa comparitively.
Also Densen is expensive, imo

Mal,
Interesting indeed......
I have never seen nor heard this gear, but it certainly reviews well.
It's comforting to know all my hard work - and that of Darl Singh - has produced something truly competitive. However, I'd be bloody disappointed if it didn't
Cheers,
Hugh
