Yup, truly hate to be doing this but reality and a few priority changes has caught up with me and I must part with this project. What you will get is an almost complete kit of parts for the SimpleSE amplifier, the PC board, 2 custom Electraprint output transformers, a custom Electraprint power transformer, an Electraprint power supply choke, and a choice of high quality coupling caps, and 4 ceramic tube sockets.
The power supply caps are all motor run or solen film types to eliminate electrolytics in the PS, and I have a selection of Silmic IIs for the cathode bypasses (note: lower values than are specified, but still plenty large enough for all audible bass but with a cutoff high enough to eliminate turntable rumble for vinyl playback). I also have the original specified cathode bypass caps included. All resistors are either Riken or Kiwame with audio note tantalums in the coupling position between the driver/gain tube and the output tubes, and 4 PRP metal films for grid leak resistors. The choice of coupling caps is either Mundorf Supreme Silver in Oil, or Mundorf Silver/Gold -- you specify. Also included is a blank, hammond steel chassis (steel required to support the weight of the the iron) - 17" x 12" x 2" -- plenty large enough for all components above and below, leaving plenty of spacing between power supply and gain/output stages.
What is not included is pretty much connectors -- IEC, RCA, binding posts, the standby switch (don't like them so didn't plan to use one), and a few other small and inexpensive parts, wire, solder, etc.
Caveat: you have to be competent enough to build this from directions on the tubelab web site as I will not be able to provide technical support, and this is not a Heathkit -- it's a collection of high-quality parts, a PC board, a blank chassis, and some outstanding transformers that you have to turn into a functioning amplifier. All parts are brand new and unused.
Price for the lot is a firm $650 (the iron alone is worth almost $600) so I'm making this attractive enough for the people who would want to purchase it for the iron alone. No lowballers, please. PM or email for more details and a complete list of parts.
Yes, I do really regret having to do this and I'm taking a real bath on the value of the items, but it just has to go.
