I have two APC battery packs. Each one consists of 8 12V/7AH SLA's wired in series/parrallel for 54.4V output. The units have a built in auto charger that charges the batteries when 10% less than full charge and then switch off again.

I had been using them to power a pair of UcD 400 amps (two in series for -54/0/54 rails). They are *extremely* heavy and I don't have an appropriate box, so local pick up only. $200.

These could be used to power whole systems if well thought out, or TT's, source components, preamps, whatever.

edit; gordy is right, these are 7ah battery, which are standard.

Willing to consider selling the APC battery packs.  They are a seriously good deal for those who like to run digital amps off battery packs.  Can even run tube preamps etc.

Here are some pics of the cases, though the innards have been modified to contain Hypex modules.  The chargers were moved outboard...  for reference, each case holds 8 - 7ah SLA's.

they take up about a 2u rack space.  size is moderate, weight is on the heavier side.  these are one of those things that i would rather not sell, but i am really on a kick about getting rid of stuff that i won't seriously get to for over a year.  if it isn't one of my top 5-10 projects, then it gots to go.  just not enough space for everything.

since each have 8 12v/7ah batteries, one could wire up a multipole switch, to switch from series/parrallel as wired for the charger to all in series for -54/0/54 to run a ucd400 off just one pack instead of putting two packs in series as i had them.  that might have been what gordy did.  i don't recall.
