Marbles

One of the things that has always impressed me is the value for $$$ from the manufacturers here on AC.

It further struck me that with the exception of an announced product being late to market, I can't remember a customer complaint that didn't end well for the customer.

I find this very impressive and it speaks extremely well to the quality of manufacturer we have here.

Just thought I would give recognition where it's due...............

My gear includes:
Amp- AVA
Preamp - AVA
Speakers - GR
Cables - Bolder
DAC - CI

I think each of these individuals and the other Net based companies are doing a fantastic job!  A well deserved round of applause for those of us who enjoy music, but want to put the costs into a reasonable realm.

Glad to pile on a positive thread.

Among the manufactures here I have purchased from Omega Loudspeakers DIY Cable (Rava) and Response Audio (RAM CD). I've had far better customer service from them than from local brick and mortar shops or other larger internet-based retailers. I'll keep buying from AC manufacturers in the future.

My gear is VMPS, AVA, Boulder, and nOrh - it's gotten to the point that I simply do not even shop in B&M retail stores, as their stuff simply cannot compete with the stuff I can get right here from AC manufacturers.

Agreed.  With the out of this world bang for the buck coupled with the access that we have to them and their responsiveness there really is no reason to shop B&M.  I also think kudos are due to the community here.  Without which it would still be difficult at best to figure out what something is going to sound like in home.  There are enough honest and friendly people here that it's pretty easy to find a group of people who have similar musical tastes or equipment/sound/listening theories (for lack of a better word) that you can trust when someone says a product sounds a certain way that it will for you too!

Without this place I'd have more $$ but I also wouldn't have Nixon Tubedac, Stratos Extreme, Philly Audio preamp, Oneac iso transformers, etc. etc.  Not to mention all the great music I've learned about!!

I am fairly new to this forum and have not yet had a chance to read up on or experience all of the AC participating manufacturers.  I have had the chance to work with Odyssey and am the proud owner of a pair of Stratos Mono Blocks and a pair of Stratos Extreme Mono Blocks.  I am thrilled with the sound from both.  The Extremes are a steal for the $$$.  It's hard to believe Klaus initially developed the Extreme version as a customer service rather than as a whole new product.  In my humble opinion, the upgrade is a steal for $500, and is one of the finest examples of customer service I've ever run across as a consumer.  Thank you Klaus and the rest of the Odyssey family!

If all goes according to plan, every element of the 2ch portion of my combined 2ch/HT system will have an audio circle manufacturer (or modder) associated with it within the next couple of months!!!!

Edit: Oops, one vendor is not an AC member, but they utilize the same direct sales model and exemplary customer service.

Good post Ribbons,

We have some terrific manufacturers/vendors here - very high on the value side.   I really enjoy the direct contact as well - something we had on HD, but I think have improved on here at AC.

And another great fact about the manufacturers on AC, there seems to be no animosity among them 8) . They freely chime in on equipement questions thruout the many circles here. AC is turning into a very productive forum for all its members ! :hyper:

I don't think a company that doesn't adhere to the highest standard of business practices would want to have a forum here. Aside from great bang for the buck all of these companies seem to have great relationships with their customers. Could you imagine a company that doesn't treat it's customers well giving the people they've screwed an open forum to complain to other potential customers? It would be suicide.

I'd just like to say that I am absolutely thrilled with all of my dealings with AC dealer/moders!   Cybertweeks (6 bybees so far) was extremely helpful in our communications, KevinW of Solar repaired and moded a ASL MG Head amp with gorgeous results (not to mention his input on the Carver ZR mod threads!) and Kevin at DYI has been very helpful as well, with all my questions leading up to a Django kit purchase.  Thank you all!!!    Gordy

Between the incredibly wonderful experience I had buying and building an AKSA from Hugh and the visit I received from Kris at 8th Nerve, I have reached audio nirvana!!!  :D

I've talked to other vendors and bought things from them but, these 2 stand out for me.  No one's done me wrong on AC.... I agree that a bad vendor wouldn't last long.  It takes a commitment to producing a well-thought-out product and at least good customer service to start a forum here.

I heart AC.
