In the HRSCF project he lists the best source I know of:
www.hosfelt.com

...just happened to be reading about the project last night so I recognized the values.

Quoted from Chirstophers PDF on the HRSCF:

Quote
Silver Mica capacitors can be purchased from Hosfelt electronics
(http://www.hosfelt.com/).  As recommended by Al Sekela, I used value increments in
decades apart like this: (3) 3650pf (500v) at 39 cents each, (1) 360pf (300v) at 25 cents
each and (1) 36pf (300v) at .09 cents each.  If Hosfelt is out of the 3650pf, use (5) 2200pf,
(1) 220pf and (1) 22pf.  Just keep the largest cap value to combo 10,000pf or so
(like 3-3650pf or 5-2200pf).  Then go down in decades apart for the other two caps.

Yes, I just looked there. I have asked Chris da Costa if 20pf(300v), 221pf(300v), and five 1930pf(500v) would work. That is the closest I could come on Hosfelt re what Chris specifies. They should be ok, I just want to be sure. Will post when Chris responds.

I see...

The other two sources that I know of are Ebay and Mouser (I think). Ebay is actually a pretty good source, especially if you can get it from one seller.
You should be able to get the exact values as well.

Hi West. The cap values 1930 ect. listed above will work fine per Chris. I am making 6 HRSCF. I ordererd a 4 spares in case I mess them up. Total for 46 cap with shipping is about $22. Chris is using perforated bread board [in place of discontinued microsorb] which is dirt cheap at radio shack. Per Chris the board works just as good. If you do this and I hope you do, lets stay in touch to our mutual benefit. I have a pic of the caps on the bread board if you give me your email.  zmanbands@aim.com
