I never did like Canons color palate.  :peek:

Unpopular opinion, I know..

Hey!

Yeah, I was just wonder since it just came out, but I personally would go with the A350 with it anti-shake + Zeiss zoom any days. :D

Take care,

BTW... did you see the new Canon? :D

Assuming you are talking about the XSi, yes, I did read about it, and it was a strong contender until I found out about my father-in-law's set of Maxxum lenses.  All the comparisons between the XSi and the A350 basically said XSi is better for pros in terms of things like the Live View implementation and the sensor quality is higher, but the A350 is easier to use for first time DSLR users, and the picture quality (particularly with the Zeiss lens) is very close.

Hey!

They are both good but I was wondering since you just the A350. But you know it won't belong until Sony and Nikon come out with something that will edged out the Xsi... than the cycle will continue again

Here is a review of the Xsi on dpreview.com...

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/CanonEOS450D/

Surprisingly the reviewer says that both camera tested very similar. I don't think they tested the A350 yet... but it will be interesting to see.

I do go to dpreview.com sometime. Their reviews and tests are pretty unbiased compared to other sites.  And they do have Sony SLR forum there.... could be very useful.

BTW.... are those photos that you took were shot with "P" program mode, Full JPEG and straight off camera?

Actually, they were taken in the "Auto" program mode.  Full JPEG (quality = "fine") and straight off the camera.  Not sure what the difference between "P" and "Auto" is yet...

Hey!

Actually I think there are pretty much the same thing... I think. :D

I rarely shoot with P or Auto mode. But I was just wondering because is look like the A350 did pretty well processing those shots in the camera. :D

There are many setting you could try... and interesting one is the DRO feature. Sony first came up with this on their DSLR and now Nikon have something similar too. This could safe you sometime from post processing. I've never try it since I prefer to do it myself at post processing. But you could try it... but it is better not to set it to the max since it could give you a strange looking picture. Maybe at level 1 should be good.

Anyway, have fun experiment with your new cam. :D

I don't know anything about this, but if Buddy used a Sony camera to capture the shots at my wedding, then I guess I like Sony.  The pictures he took were awesome!!!!

Hey!

 Michael, I rarely talk about camera I use. Well, it is because I don't get respect with with camera system I'm using, Sony... and this had been like this since the day of have Minolta around my neck.

I usually finish the work than I will talk about camera if they are wondering about it. After all it is the final result... photos in this case that is really count isn't it?

So... yes, I did used Sony DSLR with Zeiss 16-80mm zoom at your wedding. Are you surprised that it wasn't the usual C or N cam? :D

Take care,

I didn't know what camera you used, but it captured the colors very well.  I wish I knew how to upload a jpg on here so I could show the outdoor pics with the umbrellas.  Those were dope.  Sony it is, sir!
