Some time now since I wrote something here!

(First of all, very sorry for my bad english!!)


What do you all think about the Omega loudspeakers and the prices?
We are selling the Yarland tubeamplifier now as well, what do you think about them combined with Omega? For an example - FV 34 CIII (2 x 10 W).
Our showroom is 4 x 5 meters and 2.45 m high. Would they work just fine there?
Is there a big difference between the older and the new drivers?

First, there is no need to apologize for your English; you communicate very clearly, 
    Second, while I have not heard the Alnico Drivers, I can state from personal experience that there was a tremendous improvement between the Fostex Drivers and the HempTone Drivers.  Louis, (who is Omega) has never in my experience introduced a new product that has not resulted in an audible improvement in sound. 
    Third, there are several different size Omega Speakers, including two different size Subwoofers, so that room size should not be a problem. 
    Fourth, I am not familiar with your products, but again can state based on personal experience that Omega Speakers love tubes! 
    Fifth, you will be amazed at how articulate the Omega Speakers are, and how effective they are in communicating the emotion of the music. 
    Sixth, and perhaps most important, there is no finer person to deal with than Louis Chochos.  He is passionate about his speakers, and very willing to talk to you about what is best for your particular situation. 

                          Omega Speakers represent a tremendous value, regardless of the exchange rate.

I know that Louis is a good man, I've talked to him already about Omega.
Not completely sure yet, but it seems like we are going to be the distributor here in Sweden.
We are very proud over that!

The finish on the Omega speakers are so very cool, its almost too good to be true... 


The reason I started this question is cause I wanted to know what you guys think about the Speakers
The only speakers I have heard (With fullrange drivers) is the Jordan JX92S VTL and that sounded really good, have you heard that one? What is Omega's sound compared to this?

Hi, Micke.
While I have not heard many other single driver speakers, I can speak to my own impressions of how the Omega speakers sound compared to conventional multi-driver + crossover speakers.  I have owned the "Hemptone" and the "MaxHemp" models, and have driven them with "tube-like" solid-state (Red Wine Audio Signature 30 with the 30.2 modifications) electronics.
The first thing I noticed with the Omega's was the detail and resolution/texture of the midrange, which was presented in a far more "forward" way than other speakers I have owned (which were more "laid back").
The speakers (to me) sound their best with a relatively "wide" listening position (speakers wider apart than the distance to the listening position), and with ample space on the sides and behind the speakers.  In this position, the soundstage is rich, deep, and spacious.  The imaging is incredible, but the most remarkable thing is the musicality of these speakers.

From my experience, these speakers are extremely sensitive to source material, and are not forgiving of poorly recorded / excessively engineered material.  If any compression has been used in the process, I hear it.  Clearly.
If, on the other hand, the material is well recorded and tastefully engineered, the experience is intoxicating.
The inherent limitation IMO is ultimate extension at the extremes of the frequency range (bass below 30hz and "sparkle" in the high frequencies).

With that said, I have not yet heard better reproduction of guitar or vocal material with the possible exception of Quad ESL-series (although it has been a long time since I have heard them).

The speakers do seem to be quite sensitive to positioning and room dynamics.  I am still working to optimize this in my listening space.

My overall impression of these speakers "excellent", especially at their price point.  I do not currently own one of Louis' subwoofers, but I would imagine that this addition would bring the sub-30 hz realm into the picture in a very cohesive way.
