I would like to thank all of you that have visited the site. I hoped that some of you would leave some feedback on the site; so I will share with you some of the things that were requested on other forums.

1.) Requested Shipping Information be added to our site:
    - We added the shipping information and policies page to our site to better inform our customers of our high level of customer                    satisfaction that we strive for.

2.) Add a Better Product Description and product image.
    - Currently working on gathering better information on each tube type and researching exactly what should be included in this description to give you a better feel for the tube prior to purchasing.

     - Product images will hopefully also be added after we work out the product description.

Please give some feedback on the things you would like to see so that we can try to implement them and make it your #1 tube and tube part shopping store.

Thank You

I have another suggestion - an order form that doesn't accept credit card numbers in an unencrypted an completely insecure manner in violation of credit card industry standards.  Right now, your order form is completely unacceptable and should not be used.  I highly recommend removing it immediately and only accepting phone orders until you have posted a secure one.

Also, when ordering tubes, you want to know the brand, year, NOS, etc. Im not just going to order any tube... its useless to me to see you have 6sn7. What kind do you have and how much.

I'll second that.  Without knowing what manufacturer, year, etc., just having a tube type list doesn't help me in wanting to order from your site.

Got to have the descriptions, make, ect for audiophile tubes. A euro 6dj8 for $20 doesnt do anything for anybody.

I'll make some balancing comment from a tube DIY enthusiast point of view.

Gathering from the address, I take it that ESRC is the same as The Tube Center, for which I've done prior business.  My former transactions with TTC were very positive and I'd recommend them to others based on it.

My understanding is TTC has an massive accumulation of tubes, way more than is practical to catalog online, let alone provide detail on every make and model.  The average DIY'er usually just drops TTC an email asking if they have XXXX type of tubes and how many, how much and what makes.  TTC then replies with the details.

The online transaction is hence probably premature.  It may be the most value added and practical to provide details on the most common sought after tubes, such as 12A_7, 6S_7, 6DJ8 and the usual audio pentodes (6V6, EL84, EL34, 6550, KT88, etc).

If ESRM really is the same as TTC, then I recommend you drop them an email asking what they are after.  I found them to be very accomodative.

No offense, but no audiophile is going to buy any product from your site in its current state.  I think it kindof hurts you to start and advertise a site in this state.  I would recommend taking it down, looking at a couple of other popular sites, and update your site accordingly.  If your target audience is not audiophile, you may be able to get away without giving the brand and other key info.

I would like to say thank you for all of your input. I am going to be working on discussing the above requests with the store owner, and we will try to implement as many of the changes as we can. Monday is when I will go over all the changes requested with the owner as he returns from the ham radio show in Dayton, Ohio.

We will be looking into getting an ssl certificate for our site from digicert.com. I will also discuss putting the manufacturer, brand, year, NOS for our tube selection. On a side note though about NOS all of our tubes or NOS/NIB unless otherwise stated as described in our policies page. We carry all the major manufacturers. Sylvania, RCA, GE, etc, and we have multiple manufacturers for the same tube. This is why we run into some problems categorizing and getting all of that information live to the public. We have 3.5 million+ tubes, sockets, grid caps, etc in our warehouse, and have more coming.

As JoshK pointed out it would be very hard to do this for our selection of tubes is massive.  And yes we do get alot of emails just asking if we have specific tubes and we do supply that information.

JoshK thank you for your business and kind words of support on this thread about our business and recommending it we truly do appreciate it.

Thank You

I think you may have missed the severity of what I mentioned.  First, I expect your bank granting you a merchant ID doesn't know you're accepting cards online.  If they did, you would have an annual self-assessment form to fill out which points out that an SSL cert is the least of the security precautions you must take.

In the current state, your bank would at a minimum require that you remove the order page, and most likely fine you.  They may then place you under greater scrutiny for a year or more.  If they were really grumpy, they might revoke your merchant ID.

Please see this site for more information: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/  in particular, the security spec here: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/pdfs/pci_dss_v1-1.pdf  If you want more detail, read the audit guide here: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/pdfs/pci_audit_procedures_v1-1.pdf
