Phil.....Maybe you were thinking of Dick Clark's "American Bandstand"....Manilow wrote the words to its theme song..."Bandstand Boogie"....

You're probably O.K. if you have lots of early Wayne Newton, especially if it includes his classic
smash hit, 'Danke Schoen'...if not, I'd get on the internet and get some B.M. STAT--!

Need some B.M. STAT?  The internet won't help you.  Try prune juice and a high fiber diet.

I wonder whether Barry would have broader appeal if he had different initials?  It's all very well to write the songs that make the whole world sing, but who cares if they only sing those songs while sitting on the can!
